Inspiring young Queenslanders to work and find success in the tourism industry

Zoe Marstella

Brisbane

Zoe started working in tourism and hospitality at 17, getting her start at a restaurant. In the last 10 years, she’s worked her way up to a management role in a busy venue.

In 2018, Zoe's career took a big turn when she joined Felons Brewing Co at Howard Smith Wharves, an expansive venue in one of Brisbane's top entertainment and dining areas. This marked the start of her passion-filled career in hospitality, along with studying a degree in International Tourism and Hotel Management.

Zoe began as a Food and Beverage Attendant at Felons and is now the Operations Manager. Besides managing daily operations, Zoe leads a team of 11 managers, and guides more than 150 front-of-house staff. She works closely with the culinary team to improve the menu and collaborates with marketing to smoothly introduce new products to staff and guests.

Zoe goes beyond her managerial role; she loves mentoring staff and helping them grow in the hospitality field. Her joy comes from creating top-notch products, exceptional experiences, and delivering outstanding service to every guest.
