Kali Weibler

Sunshine Coast

Kali’s career in tourism began with Quest Hotels as a guest services agent where she welcomed guests from across the country and gained experience in front office. This was a valuable introduction to the tourism industry while Kali studied a Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management and Bachelor of Business. During university, Kali co-founded a student club and networking space for tourism students and also discovered her passion for sustainable tourism while studying in Italy and Dubai.

After graduating, Kali moved to Roma to work for the Maranoa Shire Council where she coordinated community events and assisted in implementing economic development initiatives. Kali was also involved in the South-West Queensland tourism committee which gave her an understanding of the vast array of tourism experiences across Outback Queensland.

Kali then moved to the Sunshine Coast where she is now the marketing and events coordinator at Visit Sunshine Coast. In this role, Kali supports production initiatives, brand campaigns and the management of digital assets. She also liaises with members on co-operative marketing opportunities and provides marketing support to event organisers. Kali enjoys the opportunity to promote and share the beautiful and diverse tourism experiences of the Sunshine Coast to the world.
