Jack is a skilled General Manager with lots of experience in the hospitality industry. He's great at running hotels and restaurants, making sure guests are happy, and coming up with smart business plans.
Jack's journey in hospitality started when he moved to Brisbane from Cairns. He worked in different places across the city, getting better at his job as he went along. He began as a waiter at a big restaurant in Brisbane, where he worked hard and got extra training (including WSET sommelier qualifications), eventually moving up to become Restaurant Manager where he contributed to the restaurant retaining 2 chef hats.
After that, Jack became the Venue Manager at a top waterfront restaurant in Brisbane. He managed a team of 70 people and focused on delivering sustainable culinary experiences. The restaurant won lots of awards under his leadership and maintained a 1 chef hat rating.
In 2017, Jack joined Spicers Balfour Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in New Farm, Brisbane, as Food and Beverage Manager. He is now General Manager, looking after everything at the hotel, including guest experiences, staffing, business functions and The Balfour Kitchen and Bar.
