Originally from Peru, Diego moved to Australia in 2017 and has built an exciting career in Hotel and Event Management. He studied Hospitality Management in Sydney, kickstarting his career at Pier One Sydney Harbour as a concierge and later as a Guest Service Agent. Diego then gained international experience as a Rooms Division Manager Trainee at the W Bangkok before returning to Sydney as Front Office Supervisor at the Sydney Harbour Marriott.
In 2021, Diego moved to the Gold Coast, joining JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa as Front Office Assistant Manager. Here, he handled the hotel incentive program, staff recruitment, and customer engagement. Now, as the Front Office Night Manager at The Langham Gold Coast, Diego oversees finance functions, night audits, staff recruitment and development, and ensures high service quality by resolving guest issues.
In April 2023, Diego founded We Are Alive Productions, showcasing local music and arts through concerts and events across Australia and a globally streamed music series. Leveraging his experience in hotel, tourism, and event management, Diego aims to enhance Queensland's tourism by providing enjoyable visitor experiences while promoting the local arts sector.
