After high school, Clare studied Marketing and Public Relations. This led her to an exciting career in tourism marketing. Her first role in the industry was as an event manager, planning and overseeing events, and implementing strategies to boost bookings and attract new customers

In 2018, Clare joined the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) as the Digital Marketing Coordinator at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Her role included developing and implementing multichannel local, national and international campaigns, managing social media, creating digital content, and overseeing Influencer Outreach program and familiarisation visits.

In early 2022, Clare moved into destination marketing, taking on the role of Tourism Marketing and Engagement Officer at Logan City Council. She's responsible for managing the Explore Logan brand, handling its digital presence, and collaborating on daily promotions and campaigns. Clare also works closely with local tourism and hospitality businesses, helping them improve their marketing efforts through events, workshops, and personalised support to raise the destination's profile.
