Wisky moved to Australia in 2015 and has built an exciting career focused on delivering the highest standard of guest services and creating unique experiences. Wisky studied a Bachelor of Hotel and Tourism Management and gained experience in the industry as an assistant concierge officer.
On graduation in 2018, Wing Yi was a concierge at The Star Gold Coast and, within three months, was promoted to concierge supervisor. This role involved managing a team of 50 staff across two 5-star hotels – The Darling Gold Coast and The Star Grand. Wisky then moved to The Langham Gold Coast as assistant chief concierge, focusing on ensuring a luxury service experience for all guests.
Wisky is now the chief concierge at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort where she oversees daily operations, trains staff and maintains relationships with vendors to provide exceptional guest experiences. Wisky is dedicated to developing strategies to increase revenue, collaborating with departments to provide seamless experiences and monitoring guest feedback to implement improvements.
Wisky’s concierge skills and experience led to her being a finalist in Hotel Management Magazine’s Awards in 2021 and as a nominee for guest service excellence at The Star Gold Coast. In 2021, Wisky was accepted into Les Clefs d’Or Australia, the highest honour in the profession awarded by an exclusive global hotel concierge association. The distinctive gold crossed keys worn by Les Clefs d’Or recipients are recognised by travellers around the world who know that recipients are at the top of their profession and strive to provide the utmost service to guests.
