Ashgrove Tourism Marketing
Siana grew up in a small town north of Townsville and has a passion for the North Queensland region. Her love of helping visitors create memories came alive while she was casually employed with Magnetic Island Ferries and studying biomedical engineering.
Siana then spent five years working for Magnetic Island Ferries in marketing and customer experience roles. She developed multi-channel, multi-brand campaigns, managed content for digital platforms and played an integral role in the development and launch of the first ever cruise ship shore excursion attraction.
Siana then joined Townsville Enterprise as a Tourism Marketing Executive where she focused on marketing planning, social media, trade and media familiarisation programs and working with regional stakeholders to maximise destination marketing opportunities.
While at Townsville Enterprise, Siana enjoyed working with local tourism operators assisting and improving their marketing capabilities. Identifying a gap in the tourism marketing sector, Siana founded her own tourism marketing agency, Ashgrove Tourism Marketing in 2020, and now works with a large client base of tour operators ranging from fishing, diving, sailing to whale watching. The name ‘Ashgrove’ pays homage to the property Siana grew up on and her company offers a fresh approach to an age-old industry.

Siana has worked in destination marketing roles promoting the Townsville region and finds it fulfilling that her career helps visitors to Queensland have an amazing experience. In recognition of being a passionate advocate for the region, Siana is in the current cohort of the Townsville Enterprise 2019 Emerging Leaders Group and is on numerous committees focused on growing tourism to Townsville. In 2020, Siana was appointed as Secretary for SKAL International Townsville, a tourism membership group supporting local tour operators and hoteliers.
