A tourism veteran of 20 years, Nick has climbed the ranks through every operational role in hotels including rooms division, food and beverage and into general property management.
As the brand launch and pre-opening General Manager for Accor Hotels’ fastest growing international brand – Tribe Hotels, Nick became synonymous with lifestyle hotels. In 2018, he introduced luxury lifestyle to the Queensland stage with the launch of the Ovolo Inchcolm and quickly positioned the property as the apex boutique hotel in Queensland with the #1 slot on TripAdvisor.
Nick’s effervescent personality and engaging style has seen his success in product and people development for many brands including Sofitel, InterContinental, Stamford, Peppers, Pullman and Westin.
A keen interest in innovation and technology led to a 2-year stint working in the tourism technology space, however in 2021, Nick’s passion for hotels shone through and he re-joined the sector as General Manager – Technology & Operations Support for Spicers Retreats.
"Tourism is shaped around creating genuine experiences for everyone. Those we service are after lifelong memories of the aspiration destinations we live and breathe. Those who work in the industry gain friends, skills & experiences they keep for life. It’s win win for everyone"
Having studied a Certificate III in Hospitality Operations and a Diploma in Management coupled with experience across every area within a full-service hotel, Nick has had a successful career in hotel properties around Australia. Nick also helps develop excellence in the tourism industry as a judge for the Queensland Tourism Awards and as a mentor for QTIC’s Young Professionals Mentoring Program.
