Jayden Tween

Airlie Beach

A qualified marine professional, Jayden loves working in the tourism industry. He gets to share amazing places and create lasting memories for guests who may only get to see the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays once in their lifetime.

Jayden’s career started at Cruise Whitsundays as a porter so, when the chance came to fill in as a cruise attendant, he jumped at it. This sparked his interest in pursuing a scuba diving instructor certificate. He then spent the next few years as an open water instructor for a dive training facility and a dive supervisor for a yacht charter operation in the Whitsundays.

Jayden then found himself working for Fantasea doing tours to the Great Barrier Reef before moving back to Cruise Whitsundays where he has worked his way up as a marine professional and into management. Starting as a cruise attendant, Jayden undertook numerous qualifications in maritime operations while progressing through the roles of deck hand, first mate and eventually to master. He was responsible for all aspects of safe vessel operations and navigation, training and mentoring crew, and providing local knowledge of the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef to guests.

Jayden has now been promoted to the role of assistant operations manager at Cruise Whitsundays. His role entails workforce planning and training of over 100 marine staff,  motivating crew to deliver products safely and efficiently, planning of vessel and pontoon maintenance, and ensuring crew deliver first class standards through marine operations.
