The IRONMAN Group
The event and tourism industries sometimes go hand in hand, attracting visitors to experience some of the best destinations Queensland has to offer. Georgia has a passion for both. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast and working in a café on the beach, Georgia observed first-hand how important tourism is to a region. Stemming from a personal interest in events and travel, Georgia has turned this into an exciting career thanks to a Bachelor of Business (Event Management)/Bachelor of International Business.
After graduation, Georgia accepted an internship with Walt Disney World in Florida, USA where she worked as an attractions host creating magic and helping visitors enjoy the Disney experience. Returning home to the Sunshine Coast, Georgia now works in the sports sector as the Athlete Services Coordinator at The IRONMAN Group. Georgia leads customer service and manages the athlete experience for four major events on the Sunshine Coast, including IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast and the prestigious Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival. These events attract tourists and participants from around the world and Georgia is focused on ensuring a positive experience for all.
Keen to continually create new event experiences, Georgia has also been the driving force in creating a new kids triathlon experience on the Sunshine Coast.
