Georgia loves working in the Queensland tourism industry as it provides her with the opportunity to enrich people’s lives through experiences. A highly skilled and experienced tourism marketing specialist, Georgia is now a proud business owner providing visitors with a unique Queensland tourism marine life adventure experience.
Georgia’s tourism journey started in sales and marketing for Sailing Whitsundays, one of the region’s largest tour providers, before being promoted to General Manager where her role expanded to include strategic planning, customer service, business development, performance management and staff recruitment and training. Georgia then gained destination marketing experience with a move to Tourism Whitsundays as the Digital Marketing Manager responsible for the delivery of campaigns, the integration of social and digital platforms into campaigns, innovating the Whitsundays consumer websites and providing digital marketing advice to member businesses.
Moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2018, Georgia decided to start her own tourism business - Adventure Rafting - which specialises in adventure tours and whale watching. After successfully launching this venture, Georgia introduced a second vessel to her fleet and began operating Mudjimba Island wildlife safari and whale watching tours. In 2021, Georgia also acquired the Mooloolaba Canal Cruise a much-loved, long-standing part of Mooloolaba’s tourism history. Georgia has a dream job spending her days teaching guests about the local history, flora and fauna and enjoys watching their enjoyment spotting turtles, dolphins and whales migrating.
